I’ve been experimenting with nail art and makeup since my early teens but my true love for nail art developed about 5 years ago. I was inspired by my lovely friend AllYouDesire and encouraged by amazing ladies from one beauty forum to create my own blog. Firstly I started with makeup and nail posts but the nail art and nail polish reviews soon took over. These days I spend 40+ hours per week working on something around the blog and I still very much enjoy it!
I like to keep my personal life separate because most people are interested in my ‘nail work’ but if you’d like to find out a bit more about me, keep reading…
I live in UK and I work full-time as a marketing and media support for a small teaching company. I have a fiancee who is, thankfully, very supportive of this very time-consuming hobby of mine :) There’s not really much more to say….oh wait! I have the cutest dog Charlie who is Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who lives with my mum but unfortunately I wasn’t able to bring him with me to UK so I see him once a year when I visit my family..that's why I don't share any photos.
Nail artist Christian Mans with Bio Sculpture Gel used monochromatic black and white paired with rhinestones and glitter to create this elegant design. See how to do it step by step.
Step 1: Apply a layer of clear gel and cure for two minutes in a UV lamp.
Step 2: Apply a layer of black #2017-Licorice on the entire nail, and cure for two minutes.
Step 3: Apply a second layer of black soak-off gel on the nail, but don’t cure.
Step 4: Using the Bio Sculpture Gel Dot and Swirl tool, place three or four small dots of white #2001-Silky Satin above the smile line. With the swirl part of the tool, marble the black and white gels together. Cure for two minutes.
Step 5: Use a nail art brush to paint a line a silver glitter mixed with clear gel along the smile line; cure for two minutes.
Step 6: Apply a thin layer of sealer gel (or equivalent in your system) on the entire nail and place gems.
Step 7: Finish with a finishing gel or top coat for shine.
Apply two coats of white polish (Zoya Purity)
Use make up sponge to sponge on different flakies more densely. Seal the nails with Seche Vite topcoat so you can use tape.
Once the topcoat dried properly apply strips of tape and make sure the edges adhered to the nail properly
Paint over the whole nail with black polish (A England Camelot)
Remove the tape strips immediately
Seal the nails with topcoat
Yes it's true, Winter is almost here and it looks like it's going to be a cold one here in UK. I'm already 'armed' with lots of warm jumpers and chic red winter coat and I have quite a few Wintery manicures coming. I'm not really feeling Christmas this year and I really lack some inspiration and unique ideas so I don't think there will be any Christmas designs, sorry. I just really like to do something new rather than repeat somebody else's ideas.
The manicure I'll show you today is very cute one and I created it specifically to go with my pink jumper I wore for Nailartists UK meet up. I met so many lovely ladies that day in London and each one of them had super cute manicure on! But about it later on...
So I started this manicure with three coats of Zoya Dot on all fingers but my ring fingers. Three coats because the polish was quite sheer and patchy :( I prepped the ring finger nails with OPI Peel Off Base coat because later on I painted them with the mind-blowing Cirque Mirror Mirror (back in stock early January).
On some nails I combined Dot and Mirror Mirror into shiny metallic gradient which I absolutely loved! I stamped the remaining nails with a subtle pattern from the MoYou London Festive 03 plate. I think those are like simple poinsettia flowers but I'm not sure. I've seen this pattern on jumpers and it just works so well and evokes Winter to me.
